Engagement opportunities provide many benefits including the opportunity to enhance your professional development, network with fellow members in the field of OT&R, form life-long friendships, and make a difference.
The Leadership Development Committee has worked to create a clearer, more intentional framework for member engagement. This framework helps define the various ways members can get involved while recognizing that meaningful leadership exists at every level of service. Whether you’re interested in governance, leading a program, serving on a committee, or volunteering for a single event, there is a place for you in NODA.
While NODA engagement opportunities requires different time and energy commitments, each position is vital for NODA to operate and fulfill our mission. Regardless of your chosen role, individuals are held to the highest standards and can often represent the Association in the OT&R field in many different ways. NODA is committed to equity, inclusion, and social justice. Members of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives are encouraged to seek out engagement opportunities with NODA.
The updated model is organized into three pathways for engagement. The framework below is more than a list of positions—it creates a clear pathway for member growth and engagement. Many of NODA’s leaders begin by serving in support or volunteer roles before stepping into broader leadership responsibilities. By clarifying these opportunities, we hope to make it easier for members to identify where they can contribute, develop new skills, build meaningful professional relationships, and advance the work of the Association.
